The results of 9th Country Music Awards "Stagecoach 2006 - 2008" have been announced! Michael Lonstar is the winner in all nominated categories:
ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR
MALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR
BAND OF THE YEAR - Lonstar Band
SONG OF THE YEAR - "High Noon Train" ("Do Sejn") (click title to listen)

COUNTRY WITHOUT BORDERS (Best European Country Act appearing in Poland) - Suzie Candell - German rising star who collaborated with Michael Lonstar, at his invitation toured with him Poland and Lithuania and recorded with him duet "You And I" (see their live performance HERE)

Due to a discontinuation of the plebiscite three years ago, this year's voting encompassed the events on Polish country scene in the years 2006 - 2008. To Michael Lonstar that period meant an extensive creative work, numerous significant artistic achievements, travels, concerts, studio recordings and writing new songs. New trail-blazing twin album "Co to jest to country" / "What's This Country Thing"has come into being. New, inspiring international collaborations and friendships have been made, resulting in writing some new, cool songs and soon there will be more of 'em!. Lonstar's artistic activities in the last three years were so many that we list here only the most important ones:
Concert "Lonstar-First 25 Years" at the Jubilee Edition of Country Picnic in Mr±gowo;
Release of the new album ("Co to jest to country" / "What's This Country Thing");
Re-release "What's This Country Thing" on German label, Amazing Records (for the first time in history Polish country artist has been released in Western Europe);
Michael Lonstar's artistic status has been recognized and enhanced in Germany, Lithuania and Latvia;
Honorary Special Award (precious acoustic guitar) granted by the producers of Lithuania's "Visagino Country" festival. By the way, that guitar rings in the last cut of "What's This Country Thing";
Big show at the TRUCK GRAND PRIX on the Formula 1 race track in Nuerburgring, Germany for the crowd of 70.000, enhanced by the bravado choreography of Strefa Country dance group...
